HENDERSONVILLE, TN – The Collierville High School Women’s Cross Country team made history last week at the Class AAA State Championship in Hendersonville, securing an impressive second-place finish out of 24 competing teams. The performance marked the highest-ever finish for the Dragons in the program’s history.
Freshman standout Gabrielle Gulstrom led the way for Collierville, finishing in the Top 20 among 204 runners with a time of 19:06.10. Gulstrom’s stellar performance was key to the team’s overall success, as the Dragons battled strong competition on a challenging course to claim their spot on the podium. The Dragons run under the leadership of second year Head Coach Lori Streitmatter.
The team's strong showing was rounded out by the efforts of Scarlett Nash, Ava Lang, Maggie Webber, Marina Kavouras, Addie Bogda, and Emily Munier, who each played a vital role in the team’s state runner-up achievement. Together, the Dragons’ consistency and depth helped them secure a place among Tennessee’s top cross-country programs.
