COLLIERVILLE, Tenn. — Collierville High School senior swimming standout Ian Call has committed to continue his academic and athletic career at the University of Texas, one of the premier collegiate swimming programs in the nation.

Call has established himself as one of the top young breaststroke swimmers in the country while helping lead the Dragons to championship success at the state level and earning recognition on the national and international stages.

During his standout career at Collierville High School, Call helped lead the Dragons’ boys swimming team to the 2026 Tennessee State Championship among large schools. He captured the individual state championship in the 100-yard breaststroke, earning a gold medal while setting a new Tennessee state record. Call also played a key role in the Dragons’ strong relay performances at the state championship meet.

Beyond his accomplishments in Tennessee, Call has represented the United States in international competition. He is a member of both the USA Swimming National Team and the U.S. National Junior Team and has established multiple U.S. national age-group records in breaststroke events.

On the world stage, Call finished sixth in the 50-meter breaststroke at the 2025 World Aquatics Junior Swimming Championships. He added another international achievement at the 2026 Junior Pan Pacific Championships, earning a silver medal as part of the United States’ mixed 4×100-meter medley relay team.

Call will join the University of Texas swimming program under legendary coach Bob Bowman, widely recognized for his success in developing world-class swimmers. The opportunity will allow Call to continue competing at the highest levels of collegiate swimming while building on an already impressive international résumé.

Following this year’s Tennessee State Swimming Championships, Call plans to graduate early and enroll at Texas. Before beginning the next chapter of his swimming career, he hopes to help the Dragons defend their state championship and finish his high school career with another team title.

Collierville Schools congratulates Ian Call on his commitment to the University of Texas and looks forward to following his continued success in the pool.
