Collierville Men's Soccer picked up a key non-league win on Saturday. A second half goal from Cooper Nelson and a stellar defensive effort helped carry Collierville past Christian Brothers 1-0 Saturday afternoon that was played at Dragon Stadium because of wet conditions at the Collierville Soccer Field after Friday's downpour.
The Dragons limited Christian Brothers to just six shots over the duration of action.
Collierville 9-2-1 has the momentum in their favor heading into their biggest stretch of the season. The Dragons are certainly prepared to take on the challenge in hopes to claim another regular season district title and a No. 1 seed in the district tournament. They will host both Bartlett (April 27) and Houston (May 3) in hopes to accomplish the goal.
Bartlett and Houston tied on Saturday, 1-1. Collierville defeated Arlington, 4-1, on April 13.
