Highlighted by a combined 9 strikeouts facing 12 batters and timely hitting, the Collierville High School softball team rolled to a doubleheader shutout sweep over Cordova on Tuesday (March 21).

The Dragons (4-1) tallied 15 runs in game one on 11 hits. Sophomore Farrah Gomez and senior Molly Davis homered. Davis also picked up the win in the circle while tossing 3 scoreless innings and striking out 9 in the no-hit performance.

The hot bats and stellar pitching continued in game 2. Mackenzie Guess, Kinsley Scallions, and Kendall Harper each add two hits. Emma Wolfe was the winning pitcher throwing the team's second no-hitter of the day.

Collierville is back in action on Thursday at their home Forklift Field. The Dragons will face Northpoint Christian at 5pm.
