Collierville women's soccer fell to the nation's number one team, Knoxville Bearden, Wednesday at the TSSAA State Championships.

The Dragons and Bulldogs were even ten minutes into the game before Bearden drew first blood soon after. Bearden All-American Brinley Murphy had an impressive goal to give the Bulldogs a 2-0 lead with 25 minutes to play in the first half.

Just before halftime, Bearden added a third goal. They would score once again in the second half.

Collierville (10-6-1) was unable to get the offense going against a physical defense and eded the 2022 season with the 4-0 defeat.

Bearden improved to 22-0.

It was the ninth straight season Collierville women's soccer has advanced to the state tournament in the last ten years.
