Collierville Women's Soccer will be back at the TSSAA Sectionals after Tuesday evening's 2-1 victory over White Station at Cordova Stadium. It was the team's second win in the post-season. Collierville will play at Houston on Thursday for the Region Final. Both teams will advance to Saturday's sectional with the winner hosting the Region 7 runner-up and the loser traveling to the Region 7 winner.

The Maroon and White move to 9-4-1 on the season. It was the team's second win over the Spartans this year.

The win Tuesday night was a little more challenging than the 4-0 win for the Dragons in August. White Station made the necessary adjustments and gave the Dragons a difficult challenge in the elimination game. The game was scoreless at the half.

Amelya Jacobs, a Lee University commit, continued an outstanding senior season by giving the Dragons an early second half lead with a goal. White Station would soon after respond for the equalizer. One-to-one would be the final in regulation play.

It was then Kerrigan Kivisto coming up clutch with a goal in overtime and the Dragons defense prevailed to secure the 2-1 win.

Sectional winners will advance to the TSSAA State Tournament in Chattanooga October 26-29. Collierville is looking to make their third straight appearance at the championships.
