For the second straight season, Collierville has secured home court advantage for the sectional representing Region 8-AAA as champion. The Dragons did it by defeating Germantown, 3-0, and Houston, 3-1, Tuesday night at White Station.
Collierville, who went a perfect 6-0 to claim the regular season district title, also swept the competition in the district tournament for the second consecutive season.
Led by a determined and scrappy senior class, Collierville improves to 33-8 in 2022.
The seniors have a chance to lead the team back to the State Championships if they can prevail a win on Thursday. Collierville will host Dickson Co. in the school's My Town Movers Fieldhosue at 7pm.
The state tournament is scheduled for Tuesday Oct. 18 - 21 at Rockvale and Siegel High School.
