Despite outshooting Briarcrest, the Collierville soccer team (2-3-1) fell to the Saints, 1-0, in Eads on Thursday night.

CHS went on attack early but the Briarcrest goalkeeper had a pair of impressive saves to deny. The Dragons continued to push forward in the second half and had shots on goal that were inches from the net.

It was as good of a high school soccer game that's been played in West Tennessee this fall. Both teams are traditional perennial state powers and will build from the tight battle for the remainder of 2022.

Collierville will have an opportunity to get back on track Saturday. The Dragons will take on Mississippi's Hartfield Academy, 1pm, at Houston Middle as part of the Rivals Classic.
