Alisa Seymour, the ultra successful track and field coach at Southwind High School, has been hired to lead the Collierville track and field programs.

Seymour is a veteran coach with more than 20 years of experience in the sport. She ran track for The University of Memphis and was a 4-year letter winner. At Southwind, she led the Jaguars to the 2018 girls TSSAA State Championship and the team finished as runner-up in 2019. Seymour was named the 2018 AF Bridges Coach of the Year and the 2019 NFHS Tennessee Coach of the Year. During her tenure at Southwind, she helped 15 athletes receive track scholarships and run at the collegiate level.

Perhaps most importantly, Seymour made the Jaguars a force on the national scene. The 2022 Southwind team was invited to participate in the prestigious Penn Relays. The exposure event is the oldest and largest track and field competition in the United States, hosted annually since 1895 by The University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.

Collierville will return over a dozen team members that competed this year at the TSSAA State Championships.
