CHS Track and Field Standouts Compete at State Championships

Collierville High School Track and Field standouts competed at the State Championships Thursday (May 26). Senior thrower Emma Tucker had an outstanding day as the Austin Peay commit placed 2nd in the discus and 3rd in the shot put. Fellow classmates, Ava Beeler and Clair Causey brought home medals with a 3rd place and 4th place finish in Pole Vault.

The Collierville Girls 4 x 800 meter relay team (Allie Timms, Scarlett Nash, Maya McCloskey, and Ava Lang) finished in 8th place.

On the boys side, Gavin Chesek recorded a sixth place finish in wet conditions in pole vault. Jaden McKinney was 7th in the state in shot put.

Lang, McCloskey, Emma Hurlbut, Nash, Kendall Glaser, David DeBerry, Kaleb Conway, Reese Webber, and Max Roeder individually represented Collierville High School in their state qualifying events.
