Dragons Track and Field Qualifies Fifteen, Eighteen Tickets Punched, For State Track Meet

Fifteen Collierville High School athletes qualified for the TSSAA State Track meet with their performance on Saturday at the state sectional meet in Bartlett.

Qualifying to the state meet for Collierville were: Jaden McKinney in shot put, Emma Tucker in shot put and discus, the girls 4×800 relay team of Allie Timms, Scarlett Nash, Maya McCloskey, and Ava Lang; McCloskey also qualified in the 1600m.

Max Roeder, Gavin Chesek, Clair Causey, Ava Beeler and Kendal Glaser qualified in pole vault; Reese Webber in 1600m; Lang and Kaleb Conway 800m; David DeBerry 200m; and Emma Hurlbut and Nash in the 3200m.

FIRST PLACE FINISHES
Tucker placed 1st in the shot put and discus; the girls 4 x 800 relay team placed first; Nash placed 1st in the 3200m; and Chesek and Causey dominated in pole vault.

WHAT'S NEXT
The state meet will be held at Dean A. Hayes Stadium on the campus of Middle Tennessee State University. Events are scheduled to take place May 24-26.
