In the midst of a challenging winter and their normal schedule, the Collierville dance team placed in the Top 10 in all three events they competed at the Universal Dance Association High School National Championships Feb. 4-6. CHS competed in Game Day, Hip-Hop, and Pom.
The team was full of energy on Saturday night and gave the nation a glimpse of Friday night lights in Collierville with their stellar game day performance. The Dragons brought home 6th place out of 34 participating schools.
Saturday was a very strong field of 32 in both the Large Varsity Hip-Hop and Pom divisions. Collierville finished 7th in Pom and 8th in Hip-Hop.
Junior Varsity shined on the big stage placing 1st in the nation in Game Day and an impressive 3rd place finish in both Pom and Hip-Hop. It's the second year in a row the Junior Varsity squad has claimed the national title in Game Day.
