The Collierville women's basketball team (9-2) handled the adversity of the highly competitive Dragon Fire, defeating MHEA 45-43 in the semifinals of the annual holiday tournament on Tuesday (Dec. 28). Ultimately it was the Dragons defense that stood tall in the final seconds, holding on for the two-point victory.

Senior Kristyna Boyd continues to show out and was named the player of the game.

The win sets up a championship match with Northpoint Christian (9-1), Wednesday, 4:30pm inside MyTown Movers Fieldhouse.
