Guards Phil Dotson and TJ McNeal utilized their skill set to weave through a zone defense and Alex Vandenbergh continued to be a force in the middle as the trio made big plays in the 66-59 Dragons victory over Pontotoc Saturday (Dec. 18) at Desoto Central's Shan Whiteside Sideline Cancer Classic.

Ten lead changes occurred throughout the contest and the Dragons made their surge in the 2nd half after trailing 31-28 at intermission. Dotson and McNeal both finished with 17 points and Vandenbergh hauled in 16. Dotson was named the Player of the Game.

The Dragons (7-1) will have short rest before the 1st annual Oseman Insurance Holiday Invitational at Germantown. Collierville's first round opponent will be the lone undefeated public school in the Memphis area and traditional power - Whitehaven Tigers. Tip-off is scheduled for 4:30pm on Monday at GHS. The tournament is a three-game guarantee Dec. 20-22 and also features Germantown, St. George's, Carver (AL), Tennessee Prep, Hamilton, and Bolton.
