Collierville's Matt Doll Named Girls' Cross Country Coach of the Year, Dragon Runners Recognized

Bringing XC Back. Matt Doll, head cross country coach at Collierville High School, was named Girls Coach of the Year by the Daily Memphian on Friday (Dec. 17). The Lady Dragons cross country team finished sixth this fall at the TSSAA State Championships and set a school record time (20:06) in the process. The sixth place finish was the highest of any representing West Tennessee.

Arkansas State signee Emma Hurlbut was one of seven finalists for runner of the year. Isabella Carothers, Sydney Collins, Ava Lang, Scarlett Nash, Allie Timms and Hurlbut were named All-Metro.

Ben Linder was one of seven finalist for runner of the year in the boys division.

Doll was a standout runner in high school at Germantown and continued his career at Vanderbilt at the next level.
