The Collierville High School women's soccer team advanced to the TSSAA State Tournament's Final Four by defeating McMinn Co. 3-1 on Wednesday (Oct. 27) in Chattanooga.

In the first half, Lady Dragon striker Sophia Cherry made a defender miss before a shot that connected in the right corner of the net at the 23:53 in the first half.

In the second half, McMinn County's Lexi Lawson would tie the game with a penalty kick. The Lady Dragons regained the lead when Cameron Ewing had a cross into the box from 14 to back post for a Lena Woodcock goal. Shortly after, Ava Goodin was open for a score with another assist by Ewing.

With the win, Collierville (15-1-1) will face nationally ranked and undefeated Bearden at 6:30pm. The match is currently on schedule to be played at Chattanooga's Girls Preparatory School with rain in the forecast.
