Taylor Smrt finished a phenomenal softball career at Collierville High School and the Daily Memphian recognized her as the area's Hitter of the Year. The second baseman ranked in the top five among Shelby-Metro players in all three major categories this spring, batting .531 with five home runs and 52 RBI. Her efforts helped the Lady Dragons finish 28-7 and reach the Class AAA state tournament for the 12th time in school history and first since 2015.

Teammates Ericka Baker, Molly Davis, Katelyn Harmon, and Kate Hogan were also named to the All-Metro team.

Davis was a finalist for Pitcher of the Year.
