The Collierville High School men's tennis team came up short in their quest for a State Championship. On a breezy day, with off and on rain, the Dragons went toe-to-toe with Ravenwood before falling 4-3.
After singles match play, Collierville trailed 3-2. They received wins from #2 Ranjay Arul and #3 Aneesh Achanta. In order to bring home the first ever state title to Collierville, the Dragons would need to win both doubles matches. Arul and Achanta were able to win their match, 8-3, but the team lost a tough match, 8-5, in the other to place 2nd.
All state tournament participants will return for the 2022 season.
