The Collierville High School Trap team competed at the April MSSA shoot at Lakeland on Saturday (April 24).
Daniel Bertrand led the Dragons with a 2nd place finish in the Gold Division. Bertrand connected on 95 out of 100 shots in the 36-participant event.
In the female Division, Emma Lott led the Lady Dragons with a 3rd place finish. Lott was successful 94 out of her 100 shots. 60 athletes participated in this division.
In the male Division, Gabe Crisp took 1st place (98/100), Cody Hinton 2nd place (98/100), and Patrick Cowan 3rd place (97/100). One-hundred thirty seven athletes participated in this shoot. A tie-breaking shoot-off took place, at the end of regulation, with Crisp edging Hinton after 50 shots.
As a team, the Dragons took 1st place and 3rd place out of 32 squads. Varsity 1 (1st place) team members include: Gabe Crisp, Cody Hinton, Robert Davis, Patrick Cowan and Ryan Hartdegen. Varsity 2 (3rd place) team members include: Emma Lott, Daniel Bertrand, Ben Brazille, Alex Bishop and Cooper Yancey.
The Dragons will now prepare for the Moscow Invitational that is scheduled for May 15.
