The Collierville High School women's soccer team secured their quest to return to the State Tournament after a dominating performance Saturday night at Arlington. The Lady Dragons tenacious effort on defense once again recorded a shutout as the team defeated Arlington, 2-0, to advance.

Sydney Davis and Ellison Suhoza connected on a corner kick that gave the Lady Dragons a late, 1-0, 1st half lead. Freshman Lena Woodcock's first career goal in the 2nd half gave the Lady Dragons insurance en route to the victory.

Goalkeepers Abby Norwood and Maggie Ward recorded their eighth combined clean sheet of the season.

The eight-team bracket for the 2020 Class AAA State Tournament is set to be released Sunday. The tournament is scheduled October 28-31 and is single elimination in Murfreesboro.
