Collierville's hope for a state title in volleyball continued on Wednesday in a Class AAA tournament elimination game at Siegel High School.

The Lady Dragons beat Science Hill 23-25, 25-19, 25-13, 25-12 to advance.

Science Hill led throughout the first set, but Collierville rallied late and took a 23-22 lead. The Lady Hilltoppers fought back to win the final three points and take the set.

However, Collierville jumped out to as much as a 19-8 lead in the second set. Science Hill answered back with 9 of the next 12 points and cut the lead to 22-18.

The Lady Dragons answered back with three of the next four points and took Science Hill’s momentum for the remainder of the match en route to the 3-1 victory.

Collierville (17-9) will face Maryville (31-5) in a Thursday morning elimination game.
