Led by Senior Tal Old’s 2nd place finish in a blazing 16:07, the Dragons cross-country team won the ACA Invitational held in Tuscaloosa, AL on Saturday, October 17. In addition to Old’s #2 CHS All-Time performance, the combined efforts of Reese Webber (16:54 PR), Andreis Campo (17:08), Clayton Maxwell (17:30 PR), and Nik Daniel (17:46) propelled the team to a score of 39 points, just edging out Helena High School’s 41.

Rocco Marchionda became the 18th Collierville boys runner to break 19 minutes for 5k this year, extending the previous team record of 15. Andrew Kukkapalli (19:24), Andrew Graham (19:26), and Cooper Meier (19:34) are all within striking distance of the 19:00 mark and have an excellent shot at a pancake flat JV Championship course at Bartlett in two weeks.
