MOULTON, Ala. – The Collierville High School cross country program showcased its strength and depth on Saturday, September 12, at the prestigious Chickasaw Trails Invitational held at Oakville Indian Mounds Park in Moulton, Alabama. Competing against many of the top programs from across the Southeast, both the men's and women's programs produced impressive finishes on one of the nation's premier cross country courses.

The Collierville ladies placed 4th overall in a talented field, scoring 117 points and finishing behind perennial Alabama powers Auburn, Hoover, and Spain Park. The Lady Dragons topped other traditional Alabama cross country powers such as Vestavia Hills, Mountain Brook, Huntsville, and Hewitt-Trussville.

Leading the way was Maya Lang, who continued her outstanding season with a 6th-place finish in 18:42.14. Lang's performance established her among the elite runners in the race and paced a strong front pack for the Lady Dragons.

Gabrielle Gulstrom followed with a tremendous effort, placing 10th overall in 18:59.60, giving Collierville two runners inside the top ten. Senior Marina Kavouras added another top-15 performance, crossing the finish line in 13th place with a time of 19:25.13.

Collierville's scoring lineup was completed by Augusta Bogda, who finished 32nd in 20:06.39, and Emily Lotz, who placed 33rd in 20:06.87.

The Collierville men also turned in a strong performance, placing 12th overall among 39 scoring teams with 400 points in one of the deepest fields assembled this season.

Senior standout Georgios Kavouras led the Dragons with an exceptional race, finishing 44th overall in 16:38.03. Kavouras competed among a field loaded with regional and state contenders and continued to establish himself as one of Tennessee's top distance runners.

Gabe Bullock was the second Dragon across the line, placing 53rd overall in 16:49.69, while Pierre Kavouras delivered another strong effort, finishing 71st in 17:00.47.

The Dragons' scoring five was rounded out by:
