NASHVILLE, TENN. – Dec. 5, 2025 – The Tennessee Titans today announced that Jackson Kirby and Alyse Kraemer have been selected as the recipients of the inaugural High School Titan of the Year, recognizing one boy and one girl who excel on the football field and the classroom and demonstrate a commitment to making a positive impact beyond the game.

“The High School Titan of the Year was created to honor young people who embody the very best of our game, both in how they compete and how they serve. Alyse and Jackson represent the next generation of leaders who are using football as a platform to lift others, strengthen their communities, and inspire what the future of this sport can be,” said Tennessee Titans Vice President of Cause Marketing Josh Corey. “We are proud to celebrate their impact and to help build a tradition that will continue to elevate student athletes across Tennessee.”

Jackson Kirby, a senior at Covington High School, is the starting center for the Chargers. He is a three-time All-State selection, two-time All-Region 7-3A Linemen of the Year and led his team to the state semi-finals as a captain this season.

“Jackson may be one of the most hardworking individuals that I’ve had in the 20-plus years of teaching school,” said Covington High School welding teacher Jerry Johnson. “Not only is he outstanding on the field, but his work ethic in all the activities and the standards that we’re holding him up to are phenomenal.”

Jackson Kirby holds a cumulative GPA of 3.6, while carrying a perfect 4.0 this semester – demonstrating growth and a relentless pursuit of excellence in the classroom. He is a member of the National Honor Society and Student Council. In addition to his traditional classwork, Kirby is taking Dual Enrollment Welding courses through Tennessee College of Applied Technology. He has committed to UT Martin to play football and pursue a degree in Criminal Justice.

Kirby exemplifies the spirit of service through consistent involvement in volunteer work. His dedication to giving back goes beyond meeting expectations as he actively seeks out opportunities to serve and uplift others. Kirby has dedicated over 60 hours to Habitat for Humanity to assist with painting and framing multiple new builds. In addition to this work, he has displayed consistent dedication in mentoring young athletes, including volunteering for Special Olympics of Tennessee and as an assistant coach for a youth flag football and basketball team.

“It’s an honor. I’m very humbled to receive this award,” Kirby said. “I couldn’t have done it without the people around me. This community has shaped me in ways I’ll carry with me for the rest of my life.”

Alyse Kraemer, a senior at Collierville High School, is a team captain and starting outside linebacker with multiple college offers to continue playing at the next level. She has averaged six tackles, two tackles for loss and two pass breakups per game for the girls flag football team.

“We are truly honored that Alyse has been recognized by the Tennessee Titans for both her on-field performance and her off-the-field achievements,” Assistant Principal Dan Holcomb said. “She is a phenomenal young woman who continues to amaze our coaching staff with her commitment, poise and leadership.”

In the classroom, Kraemer is enrolled in nine dual credit classes, holds a 4.129 GPA, and is involved in multiple other clubs such as FFA, FCA, band, gardening club and photography club.

In the community, Kraemer’s impact is vast and stretches across multiple organizations with unique missions.

Kraemer has combined her passions for horses with service, dedicating her time providing equine training to both inner city students at Southern Blues and for children and adults with disabilities at Southern Reins. In addition, Kraemer is heavily involved in church, volunteering at Sunday school, playing the flute in the worship band, and volunteering for youth trips. She has also taken a large role in the Freshman Mentor Program at Collierville High School where she works with new freshmen to help them get adjusted to making the jump to high school. She has also helped to pack food for families facing food insecurity and 10,000 homeless care kits.

“I’m really excited. We really won this as a team,” Kraemer said. “I think giving back is important to me because I know I am very blessed to be in the situation I’m in. But I’ve also seen other people’s situations and that really speaks to me. I really want to be able to give as much as I can to help those people.”

Both Kirby and Kraemer will be recognized on the field during the Titans home game on Dec. 21. Between the two winners, over $5,000 will be granted including $1,000 to each football program and $1,000 to the nonprofit of their choice.
