GERMANTOWN, Tenn. — On a night when the stakes were high, senior running back Lawrence Autry delivered a performance for the ages, scoring six rushing touchdowns to lead Collierville past Houston, 49-27, on Thursday at Landers Stadium on the Houston High School campus in Germantown.
The Tulane commit  racked up 170 yards on the ground, as the Dragons (7-3, 4-0 Region 7-6A) clinched the Region Championship and secured the No. 1 seed heading into next week’s TSSAA Playoffs.
The Dragons’ offense was firing on all cylinders, totaling 346 yards. Quarterbacks Brayden Santibanez and Cayson Stanford combined to complete 7-of-12 passes for 99 yards. Four-star wide receiver Tae Walden Jr. led the aerial attack with three receptions for 45 yards.  Stanford also found the end-zone with a quarterback-keeper in the 1st quarter. 
Houston (2-7, 2-2 R7-6A) showed fight behind a pair of rushing touchdowns from Raderius Robertson. Quarterback Canon Day connected with Leif Osborne for a score, and Jerome Field added a late rushing touchdown for the Mustangs.
Defensively, Collierville was anchored by Jayden Majors, who tallied a breakout 14-tackle performance. Memphis commit Marshall Smith Jr. added seven tackles to help contain the Mustangs’ offense.
What’s Next
Collierville returns home to host White Station in the opening round of the playoffs on Friday, November 7. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m. at Dragon Stadium at Landers SportsPlex.
