On a misty Tuesday morning at the Baylor School consider the above delivered, the Collierville High School Lady Dragons Soccer team had that type of a performance in the 2025 TSSAA Class AAA State Championship Quarterfinals, defeating the Siegel Stars 4-0.

Collierville wasted no time asserting control, with Ava Beyl striking just over two minutes into the match to give the Dragons an early lead. Moments later, Kaitlyn Lewis added to the momentum with a chip shot from five yards out. At the 30-minute mark, Lewis connected with Piper Williams, who buried the ball in the back of the net to extend the lead to 3-0. That would remain the score heading into halftime as the Dragons offense went what seemed to be clock management mode - keeping things simple.

Williams wasn’t done though. Less than five minutes into the second half, she scored her second goal of the match, sealing the Dragons’ dominant offensive display.

From there, it was all defensive focus. Despite a pair of attacking efforts from Siegel, goalkeepers Genesis Morales and Rebekah Skinner stood tall, combining for a clean sheet — the team’s ninth shutout of the season.
