The Collierville High School women's cross country team continued its impressive season Saturday morning with another standout performance, showcasing the depth and talent of its roster at the prestigious Randolph Invitational held at John Hunt Running Park in Huntsville, Alabama.
Led by a foursome of top-15 finishers, the Lady Dragons secured a second-place team finish in a competitive field of 28 schools and 277 runners.
Freshman sensation Maya Lang paced the Dragons with a stellar 9th-place finish, clocking in at 18:58.07. Her performance marked another breakout moment in a career to be full of promise.
The team also celebrated the return of Gabrielle Gulstrom, who made her season debut in style. The sophomore standout finished 11th overall with a time of 19:01.82, immediately making an impact on the team’s scoring.
Senior and Tennessee Tech commit Emily Munier continued her consistent excellence, placing 14th with a time of 19:23.70. Junior Marina Kavouras rounded out the top 15 for Collierville, finishing in 19:26.01, further solidifying the Dragons’ overall depth.
Freshman Amaya Edwards also contributed to the scoring, helping the Dragons secure their runner-up finish with a time of 20:13.90, reinforcing the team’s plan to compete for a state title in November in Memphis at Shelby Farms.
