The Collierville High School women’s track and field team saved the best for the last day of the 2024-25 school year. In a commanding performance that capped an already stellar season, the Lady Dragons clinched their second consecutive state championship, dominating the field at the TSSAA State Championships held Thursday at Middle Tennessee State University.

Collierville tallied a record-breaking 155 points — a whopping 74.5 points ahead of second-place Bartlett — setting a new Division I state championship meet record and breaking their own mark of 131 points set in 2024.

From the start of the meet, the Lady Dragons seized control. Sophomore Ava Williams soared to a first-place finish in the pole vault, clearing 12 feet, 8 inches. Fellow sophomore Ehi Aigbomian also stood out in the field, finishing second in the triple jump (40-8) and third in the long jump (19-0.50). The two-sport athlete also anchored the 4x200.

Their 4x200-meter relay team not only won but did so in record fashion, posting a time of 1:37.66 — a new state meet record and just shy of their own state record of 1:37.35.

Khari Webb was, once again, sensational. She captured individual titles in the high jump (5-8), 100-meter hurdles (14.30), and 300-meter hurdles (42.96), and took second in the long jump. Webb had already secured the pentathlon title last week. Her solo point total would have earned her third place overall in the team standings.

The Dragons ended the meet in fitting fashion, with the 4x400-meter relay team — made up of Woods, Walden, Ava Lang, and Young — crossing the line first in 3:49.47 for that race title.

The depth of the team was on full display, with multiple second-, third-, and fourth-place finishes contributing to their historic margin of victory.

As the curtain falls on the 2025 school year, this Collierville title isn’t just a trophy — it’s a statement. They proved championships can be won by doing it the right way - again.
