COLLIERVILLE, TN -- The Collierville High School Lady Dragons secured their 18th win of the season with a hard-fought 48-43 victory over Germantown Houston on their home court Friday evening. The game, played inside Collierville’s MyTownMovers Fieldhouse, saw the Lady Dragons maintain control throughout, despite a late surge from Houston.
Collierville took a slim 9-7 lead after the first quarter and extended it to 22-17 by halftime. However, the Lady Mustangs came out strong in the third quarter, cutting the deficit back to just two points, 34-32. Despite Houston’s efforts, Collierville found their rhythm in the final eight minutes and held off the challenge, sealing the victory with a 48-43 scoreline.

With the win, the Lady Dragons improve to 18-4 on the season. The team will have little time to rest, as they are set to return to the court Saturday afternoon for a 3:30 p.m. showdown against Mississippi powerhouse Pontotoc in the 27th Annual Robertson’s Sportswear Challenge at New Albany (MS).
