COLLIERVILLE, Tennessee – The Collierville wrestling team celebrated Senior Night in dominant fashion, picking up their 21st win of the season with a resounding 67-9 victory over White Station on Thursday evening. The match, held at Collierville High School, saw the Dragons win 12 of the 14 contested matches.
Several Collierville wrestlers delivered dominant performances, including Sridharan Kosanam (106), Akhilesh Suryaram (113), Larson Pilant (120), Devin Corbin (126), Charles Baldwin (138), Peter Pugh (144), Michael Thompson (175), and Bond Christie (190), all of whom won by fall and earned six points for their team. Drew Corbin (132) added five points with a technical fall victory. Mason Maxim (215) and Isaiah Westbrook (285) were both awarded wins by forfeit.
In a key match at 165 pounds, Ron Sisson secured an 11-5 decision to add another win to the Dragons' tally.
White Station managed to get on the board with victories from Antoine Carr and Raleih Carr. Antoine Carr defeated Collierville's Weston Neutz at 150 pounds, while Raleih Carr, the Spartans' top wrestler, topped Collierville freshman Connor Underwood by decision, 6-2, at 157 pounds.
With the win, Collierville continues to build momentum as they approach the final duals match of the season. The Dragons will travel to Christian Brothers, Saturday, for an highly anticipated showdown.
