Cary, NC – Collierville High School baseball has received an exciting invitation to compete in the 2025 National High School Invitational (NHSI), one of the most prestigious events in high school baseball. The tournament will be held from April 9-12, 2025, at the National Training Complex in Cary, North Carolina, and will feature sixteen of the top high school teams in the nation. Collierville will represent the state of Tennessee in this elite competition, facing some of the best young talent across the country.

The invitation comes after a successful 2024 season, where the Dragons finished with a 28-12 record. This year's senior class is loaded with talent, including seven players who have committed to play at the collegiate level. Ari Bethea, a University of Tennessee signee, will anchor the pitching staff as the team’s ace, with Ridge Harvey (Belmont University) expected to complete the staff's 1-2 punch as the power left-hander. Right-handers Cael Allen (Delta State), Ayden Jacobs (Northwest Mississippi), and Blake Stricklin (Southwest Tennessee) will compete for spots in the starting rotation.

Offensively, the Dragons will be led by Allen, who will see time at 3rd base when not on the mound. Other seniors committed are AJ Greene (Memphis), a versatile catcher/infielder/outfielder; JD Whitworth (Belmont), an explosive shortstop; and Brody Winemiller (Northwest Mississippi), an intriguing prospect at first base. The senior class boasts numerous other weapons that are currently uncommitted. The 2026 and 2027 classes bring additional skill sets to the squad.
