Collierville, TN -- The Collierville High School Lady Dragons extended their impressive run with a 59-37 victory over Southwind on Friday night at the MyTownMovers Fieldhouse. The win improves Collierville’s record to 10-2 overall and 2-0 in District 15-AAAA play.
Collierville jumped out to an early lead, finishing the first quarter with a 14-8 advantage. By halftime, the Lady Dragons held a 24-18 lead, maintaining a solid six-point cushion. However, it was in the second half where Collierville truly separated itself.
Junior guards LA Jennings and Jekyra Rodgers were instrumental in the victory, combining for 31 points. Jennings led the way with 16 points, while Rodgers added 15. Sophomore center Ehi Aigbomian also contributed significantly, finishing in double figures with 12 points.
Next up, Collierville will look to build on its momentum as it takes on Holmes County Central (MS) at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the Shan Whiteside Cancer Classic at Desoto Central.
