The freight train that is the 2024 Collierville Dragons kept rolling on Friday nights.

QB1 Grant Troutman accounted for five touchdowns as the Dragons rolled to a 45-7 win over Cordova, improving to 8-0 in the process.

Troutman's touchdown passes covered 37, 29, 9, 21, and 17 yards. He connected twice with emerging wide out Tae Walden Jr. and also found Nick Graham, Emmanuel Palmer, and Luke Roeder in what looked at times that he was playing a John Madden video game.

Head Coach Joe Rocconi and offensive coordinator, John White, hit the turbo boost button all night long and Troutman executed the game plan.

Eric Ely had the other score with a touchdown run from 3 yards out.

One of the team's unsung heroes all year has been kicker Grayson Lytton. The senior split the uprights on all 6 extra point tries and also added three points with a not-so-common "free kick" from 42 yards out.

Defensively, Tristian Euell had seven tackles to lead the Dragons' Doomsday Defense.

Collierville (8-0, 5-0 Region 8 AAA) remains undefeated and travels to Whitehaven next Friday.
