Arlington, TN – The Collierville High School women’s soccer team faced off against the Arlington Tigers in a fierce matchup on Thursday night, ultimately ending in a hard-fought 2-2 tie.
The first half saw both teams struggle to find the back of the net, with strong defensive plays keeping the scoreline at 0-0 as the teams headed into halftime. However, the momentum shifted shortly after the break when Collierville freshman Caroline Anglin broke the deadlock, scoring her first goal of the night and putting the Dragons ahead.
Just minutes later, Anglin struck again, doubling Collierville's lead and giving the Dragons a 2-0 advantage. But Arlington wasn’t ready to back down. The Tigers rallied with impressive determination, and their efforts paid off as Paige Dexter found the net, narrowing the gap. Lily Douglas followed suit, scoring the equalizer and securing the tie for Arlington.
The draw leaves Collierville with a record of 7-1-1 as they prepare to face the Millington Trojans on Monday. Kickoff for that match is set for 7 PM at Collierville High School.
