Collierville, TN – The Collierville High School Dragons delivered a commanding performance in challenging weather conditions, defeating the Douglass Red Devils 60-0 Friday afternoon at Dragon Stadium.

From the opening kickoff, the Dragons showcased their dominance across all aspects of the game. Offensively, they surged ahead with multiple touchdowns, while their defense and special teams also made significant contributions. Kicker Grayson Lytton added to the scoring with a 31-yard field goal, setting the tone for a memorable day on the field.

The second quarter saw Collierville further extend their lead. Defensive standout Charlie DeYoung intercepted a pass and returned it for a touchdown, while Dillan Vaughn added a rushing score. Additionally, a safety by Marshall Smith and Chris Cowlick compounded the Red Devils’ woes.

Tae Walden capped off the Dragons’ scoring spree in the third quarter, recovering a fumble and racing it back to the end zone for the final touchdown of the game.

With the victory, Collierville remains undefeated at 4-0. The Dragons will look to extend their winning streak to five games as they prepare to host the Arlington Tigers next Friday night at Dragon Stadium. The 7 p.m. contest will also serve as the 2024 Homecoming game, promising an exciting atmosphere for fans and players alike.

The crowd is anticipated to be one of the largest to date at Dragon Stadium as alumni from classes as far back as 1974 are expected to fill the stands and support the maroon and white in this special season. Alumni and all fans can purchase tickets in advance to avoid the anticipated long line at the gate.
