Three former Collierville High School women's basketball stars took the big stage as opponents last week in the TCCAA Region VII Championship. The Chattanooga State Lady Tigers fought their way back from a halftime deficit to defeat the Lady Senators of Walters State 54-52 to earn their way to the 2024 NJCAA Division I Women's Basketball Championship to be held at the Ford Wyoming Center in Casper (WY) from March 26 thru April 1st.

Former Lady Dragon Jordan Harris scored in double digits with 16 points and nine rebounds to play a crucial role in the victory for Chattanooga State.

For Walters State, another Dragon great, Kristyna Boyd, lead the Lady Senators with 17 points and six rebounds. Alumni Mannie Amafula is also a member of the Walters State Women's Basketball team that has encountered tremendous success in her collegiate career.
