Just a year after running the table for their first TSSAA State Championship, the Collierville High School men's tennis team will once again stay atop of the Division I Class AA Men's Tennis world, taking down Johnsons City's Science Hill to claim the program's second State Championship in back-to-back fashion.
Following the same script to when they won in 2022, the Dragons once again dominated public school tennis in Tennessee from the beginning of the season.
In the state championship match, Collierville jumped out to an early lead quickly. On court four, Tristian Kelly had no challenge and won 6-0, 6-1. On court one, Ranjay Arul also breezed by and won 6-3, 6-1.
Things got interesting on the remaining three courts. Courts two, three, and five all split their first two sets.
Aneesh Achanta lost his match, but Carter Amaba and Ajay Arul would prevail to clinch the historic win.
