Collierville Earns 10th Win in March With 5-2 Triump Over CBHS

Collierville High School baseball (10-1) accomplished a yearly goal by earning their 10th win in March with a 5-2 victory over Christian Brothers on Monday evening at Patriot Bank Park.

The win was the eight straight and confidence builder for a team heading to Middle Tennessee on Wednesday to take part in the prestigious Warrior Classic in the Murfreesboro area.

After the Dragons scored a run in the first and second, Ole Miss commit Jackson Lyons tied the game by putting a two-run shot over the right field wall in the 4th inning for CBHS. Collierville would retake the lead in the 5th inning and added a pair of insurance runs in the 6th to claim the victory.

AJ Greene had two hits and a RBI to pace the Collierville offense. Crabtree added 2 RBIs at the plate. Hayden Short and Tanner Wages contributed the other runs batted in.

East Tennessee State signee, Thomas Crabtree, picked up the win on the bump going 5 2/3 innings and striking out 10. Harding University signee Keaton Baird earned the save throwing 1 1/3 innings, striking out three, and not allowing a base on balls.

The Dragons will open the Warrior Classic on Wednesday at Smyrna. Game time is scheduled for 7:30pm agains the Bulldogs.
