For the fourth time in consecutive years, the Collierville Dragons men's basketball team is headed to the Sweet Sixteen.

Wow. It's quite an accomplishment for the Class of 2023.

On Saturday night inside the MyTownMovers Fieldhouse, Collierville defeated Memphis Central 68-60. The Dragons headed into the game 3-0 in post-season with wins over Corova, Bartlett, and Southwind.

Add Memphis Central to that list and the Dragons improve to 20-13 overall. It's the school's 20th win season four years straight - an ongoing school record.

Collierville and Central were tied at 14 at the end of one quarter of play. The two teams would trade one point leads at the end of the 2nd quarter and 3rd quarter before Collierville reached it's largest lead of the game at the finish 68-60.

Alex Vandenbergh had 22 points to lead all scorers. Sophomore guard Dallas Berkley scored 14, and junior guard Isaiah Tyson added 13.

Collierville will play Overton Tuesday, 6pm at Houston High School in the semifinals of the Region 8-AAAA tournament.
