Collierville High School and Germantown High School met on Tuesday, January 3rd, for a District 15-AAAA basketball showdown.
The Lady Dragons got off to a hot start and never trailed the Lady Red Devils en route to a 56-22 victory. Carlyn Burdette and Hilary Shikuku both had 14 points to lead the scoring efforts.
In the men's match-up, the Dragons and Red Devils were tied late in the 4th quarter before a pair of turnovers and fouls gave a spark for Germantown to pull away and defeat the Dragons 58-46. Collierville was led in scoring by Alex Vandenbergh's 19 points.
Collierville will travel to Arlington on Thursday for another District 15-AAAA contest. The girls tip-off at 6pm and the boys will follow at 7:30pm.
