The Collierville High School women's basketball team had their best performance to date this season on Friday night against Southwind by defeating the Jaguars comfortably 54-27 at the My Town Movers Fieldhouse.

With the win, the Dragons played selfless basketball and got back to the .500 mark. The team has their sights on continued improvement to finish the month of December.

That task will not be easy with the most challenging part of the 2022-23 schedule in the coming weeks. First, it will be a showdown at the Shan Whiteside Classic versus Horn Lake (MS) at Desoto Central, 5pm, Saturday. Early next week, the girls will compete in the "She Got Game Classic" at Lebanon before hosting their traditional Dragon Fire Holiday Tournament Dec. 27-29.

Collierville girls are 5-5 on the year.
