The Collierville High School men's basketball team had a three-day tune up this weekend as a first time participant in the Cabot (AR) Christmas Classic. In their final game of the event on Saturday, the Dragons succeeded with a runner-up finish by defeating Beebe (AR) 62-51 in Panther Arena.

Cooper McCrae and Alex Vandenbergh had solid performances with 14 points each. Junior point guard Isaiah Tyson tallied 13 points.

A big challenge is in sight for Dragons Hoops this week. Collierville (7-2) will open District 15-AAAA play on the road, Tuesday, at Cordova. They will then host the Southwind Jaguars on Friday. Saturday is the Shan Whiteside Classic at Desoto Central (MS) where the Dragons are paired against the 10-0 Horn Lake Eagles.
