Collierville Football battled Bartlett for four quarters before dropping a 17-7 decision before a packed house at Panther Stadium on Friday. The Dragons (7-2, 4-2 Region 8-AAA) trailed early 7-0 after Bartlett running back Geron Johnson had a 56-yard rushing touchdown. Collierville would even the game, 7-7, when Aidan Glover connected with tight end Eli Sisson for an 8-yard score. The game would stay tied at the half.

At the start of the second half, Bartlett quarterback Braylen Ragland connected with Deshaun Catron on a blown coverage for 92 yards to put the Panthers ahead, 14-7. Bartlett's defense was steady throughout the second half and the Dragons offense was unable to find its rhythm.

Barlett picked up additional points when Panther kicker Zach Clutch hit a 31-yard field goal with 2:54 play. 17-7 final.

Glover was 10-for-19 for 120 yards in his return after an injury in Week 7. Sisson had four receptions for 53 yards and the touchdown. Logan Davis carried the ball seven times for 49 yards.

Collierville's main goal is still a clear picture. A win next Friday, would send the Dragons to the State Playoffs. Four teams advance from Region 8 and the Dragons finale against the Arlington Tigers will determine the outcome of their season's main priority. Collierville is currently third in Region 8-AAA behind Bartlett and Houston. Germantown is in 4th.

The Dragons hold the tie breaker over the Red Devils.
