Collierville used explosive plays on offense and five takeaways by the defense to put away Cordova on Friday night in Dragon Stadium, 50-15.

The No. 2 Dragons (5-0) trailed for the first time in 2022 after Cordova put points on the board first. It was a wake up call that led the Dragons to put up 44 points of their own in the first half for a 44-7 halftime lead. A running clock in the second half minimized all further damage and Collierville finished with a 35-point victory.

Aidan Glover finished 8-of-10 passing for 120 yards and three touchdowns, including his first touchdown pass of the year to Demikah Gregory. Noah Flashkamp and Eli Sisson also found the end zone on deliveries from Glover. The true dual-threat quarterback carried the ball six times for 87 yards and a pair of scores on the ground.

On both sides of the ball Friday, the Dragons might not have played with great consistency, but they made plays when it mattered.

Regardless, the Dragons are 5-0. Friday's win was Collierville's 15th regular season win in a row.

Collierville will play at Whitehaven, the Region 8-6A pre-season favorite, next Friday.
