Collierville, the No. 6 team in the state AP poll, recorded its 13th consecutive regular season win in a span over two seasons by defeating the White Station Spartans 37-6 inside Dragon Stadium at Landers SportsPlex in front of 5,000 plus fans Friday night.

Quarterback Aidan Glover continues an efficient completion percentage to start the 2022 season completing 12 of 17 passes for a season high 246 yards.

It was the ground game that got Collierville the early lead. Andy Bell put the Dragons on the board with a carry from three yards out. Bell had 11 carries for 60 yards. Glover then showed his dual-threat abilities by running with the ball from 8 yards out to find the endzone. Glover would then connect with Joakim Dodson for a 38 yard touchdown reception.

White Station's Lonnie Simpson threw a touchdown pass to Gregory Mangle from a busted secondary coverage to put the Spartans on the board midway through the second quarter.

It was all Collierville for the remainder of the first half, and game, as Austin Smith also showed his multiple threats by rushing the ball for a 7 yard touchdown and then receiving the ball for a 70 yard score.

Dragons Kicker Presley Spicer was 4 of 5 on extra points and finished the team's offensive attack with a 39-yard field goal that split the uprights in the 3rd quarter.

Collierville (3-0) will have to travel across the state line in hopes to continue the consecutive regular season win streak. The Dragons will face Center Hill (Olive Branch, MS), a 41-0 winner Friday at Kirby, in the annual The Ville versus The Hill classic.

Collierville Homecoming is scheduled for Sept. 16 versus Cordova and tickets can now be purchased via GoFan.
