The Collierville High School baseball team scored two touchdowns and a field goal in Friday night's 17-0 win over Southwind at Patriot Bank Park. With the victory, the Diamond Dragons advance to Saturday's district tournament quarterfinals match with Arlington. It was the team's 30th win of the season, a consistent mark since the early 2000's, and a game in which a school record was broke. Fleet footed Austin Smith stole base numbers 27 and 28 to set the all-time stolen base record for the school. Previously, former Dragon and a member of the Los Angeles Dodgers organization, Brandon Montgomery, had the record with 26 stolen bases.

Freshman Ari Bethea improved to 5-1 and struck out 5 Jaguars. Bryce Griffith would record the final three outs for the combined no-hit shutout. Tyler Hedin had a triple and three runs scored to pace the offensive outburst. Braden Sheals homered, had 2 runs scored, and 3 RBI. Grant Wallace and Tyler Hedin each contributed extra base hits.

Collierville (30-9) will face Arlington, 12pm, Saturday at Houston High School's Bill Avant Field.
