Ari Bethea had all the right stuff on Thursday (April 14) for the Collierville High School baseball team in Jackson. The freshman phenom threw a complete game two-hit shutout, allowing just two base on balls, and striking out eight in a 6-0 win over McNairy Central.

Left-handed slugger Grant Ross continued his break out senior year by belting his 4th home run of the year. Ross had two hits and three RBI's to propel the team's offense. Cade Leatherwood and Austin Smith had the only other hits for the Dragons.

Collierville (18-6) will be back in action on Friday for a twin bill. The Dragons will take on Hardin County, 1pm, at Scotts Hill; and Jackson South Side, 6pm, at Freed Hardeman University.
