The Collierville High School baseball team evened the series versus Covington after taking a late lead in the fifth inning Friday night. The Diamond Dragons prevailed 10-8 after dropping a 14-3 contest at home on Thursday. Collierville pounded out ten hits in the high-scoring affair.
Bryce Griffith picked up the win on the mound in relief after allowing just two hits, striking out six, and walking just one batter.
Grant Ross homered for the Dragons and had two stolen bases.
Grayson Saunier, Joey Caruso, and Thomas Crabtree all managed multiple hits on the day.
Collierville (15-5) will be back in action Saturday afternoon at Dyer County. First pitch is scheduled for 2:30pm.
