Congratulations to the 2021-22 senior squad members of the Collierville Competitive Cheer Team for being recognized as Chick-Fil-A Scholar Athletes. Dragons Cheer concluded another outstanding season with a return trip to nationals. The team won the national championship in 2021. Meet the Fabulous Five:
Kloe Malone has a 3.2 gpa and has been a CHS Varsity cheerleader all four years of her high school career. She earned the award of UCA All-American Cheerleader in Summer 2021. In addition to being a cheerleader, Kloe is a member of the Collierville High School Sports Medicine club. She is proud to be a Collierville Dragon because of the way her team, school, and community always unite as a family. Kloe plans to attend The University of Memphis next fall! Go Tigers Go!
Sophie Marcrum has a 3.9 gpa and has been a Collierville High School cheerleader for the last 4 years. Sophie enjoys volunteering at Dragon Games and working with the Dragon Fire Cheer Team. Her favorite CHS cheer memory was walking off of the floor after 2021 Nationals finals knowing her team just won! Sophie plans to attend The University of Memphis in the fall!
Madeline Matheny has a 3.9 gpa. She has been a CHS Varsity cheerleader all four years of her high school career, and she earned the award of UCA All-American Cheerleader in Summer 2021. Outside of cheer, Madeline has participated in the CHS Interact Club and Collierville Leadership. Madeline has also volunteered a lot of hours including painting the VFW, ringing the bell, and assisting with Dragon Games. Madeline loves dressing up for spirit weeks at school and is proud to represent her school and community as a Collierville Dragon Cheerleader. Madeline is planning on attending The University of Memphis next fall! GTG!
Alyssa Nichols has a 4.09 gpa and a 31 ACT score! She has been a member of Beta Club, National Honor Society, and ACT 30+ club. As a cheerleader she has won 2 Nationals Championships and a Worlds Championship. Alyssa spends some of her free time fostering puppies through the Tunica Humane Society and coaching the Dragon Fire Cheer Team. Alyssa’s favorite memory with her team has been cheering on Dragon football as they beat Houston earlier this year. She is proud to be a Collierville Dragon because the community is so welcoming and supportive. Alyssa plans to attend The University of Memphis in the Fall!
Olivia Yarborough has a 3.9 gpa. She has been a CHS Varsity cheerleader all four years of her high school career, and she earned the award of UCA All-American Cheerleader in Summer 2021. Outside of cheer, Olivia has participated in the CHS Interact Club and Collierville Leadership.
Olivia’s favorite memories in high school have been cheering under the Friday nightlights, dressing up for spirit weeks, and winning a National Championship title with her squad in 2021. Next year she plans to become an Arkansas Razorback. Woo Pig!
