The Collierville High School baseball team had an early deficit on Friday (March 18) versus Rossview but battled back to pick up their fifth straight victory by defeating the Hawks 8-5. Bryce Griffith was strong in relief to earn the win on the mound. Keaton Baird closed the game for the save.

Offensively the Diamond Dragons were led by Cade Leatherwood and Brody Winemiller with two hits each.

Collierville (5-0) will look to stay unbeaten for Week 1 of the 2022 season when they host Illini Bluffs (IL) on Saturday. Junior right-hander Thomas Crabtree is expected to get the ball for the Dragons with a first pitch scheduled for 10am.
